A very light, smooth, easy-drinking red.  This was also the bottle of Pinot that was opened in Lassen, if you had a chance to have any there.

Although Maggie claims that this red is slightly bitter, Dan drinks it "like water," which is either a good or bad thing depending on what the desired effect is.  I noticed it was slightly sour yesterday, which was not something that I thought this wine to be the previous times I had it.

Because of its easy-drinking nature, the Dante 2001 Pinot goes with a wide range of foods.  It complemented the cioppino well, although the hearty flavors of the cioppino left me desiring a wine that was a bit stronger.

This is an example of a wine that I don't mind sipping on its own without food because it is so mild, but if you want a wine that has much more of a kick to it, this isn't for you.

BevMo:  $6.99

Yes, indeed...this wine has a bitter afternote that lingers in the back of the throat.  It's a different bitter from other red wines.  But note that you're taking the word of an inexperienced wine drinker, and not from Master Sommelier Tony!

The color was also a little brown, so it wasn't the prettiest of wines.
